Opera for Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC 8.6 is the long awaited mobile version of the well known web browser for desktop computers Opera.
This web browser is the solution to the Windows mobile embedded Pocket Internet Explorer, which has too many flaws in the everyday use.
The first thing we realize about Opera for Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC 8.6 is that is a lot faster than Pocket Internet Explorer thanks to its bigger cache. We can also set up the cache size in options. Besides the loading speed we also like that there are 3 ways of displaying web pages in order to arrange them in the mobile device the best way possible. The three display modes are:
-Desktop
-Single column
-Fit to screen
In any of this three modes we can identify as handheld computer or desktop computer, which may help to get the layout and information we want in every situation.
We also like to be able to open new windows in a tabs. This way we can compare pages or whatever we want. If we open several tabs we should be concerned about RAM, specially in older devices.
In Opera for Windows Mobile 5 we also have lots of options to set up in its configuration menu. |
